Common Concerns and Questions after a DUI Arrest

Interviewer: What are the top concerns that you get from people that have been arrested for DUI? What worries them most?

Steve Tomeo: They are the most worried about the possibility of being sentenced to jail. They are worried that they’ll have to do time in jail and what will arise as a result of this time in jail. If it’s a situation where they do have to do time jail they are concerned about their marital relationship and their mortgage and providing for their families and being able to keep their job. If they have to serve a jail sentence for a DUI, especially if you drive a car for work or a truck for work, most companies won’t give you the time off to serve the jail time. They’ll fire you because a DUI offense increases their insurance rates. It’s a pretty big social issue.
